The union’s core objectives include: Promoting Media Freedom: Supporting journalists and media organizations in performing their roles independently. Fostering Truth and Professionalism: Ensuring accuracy, integrity, and accountability in reporting and delivering information in the public interest. Encouraging Understanding and Tolerance: Combating hate speech and discrimination while promoting dialogue and mutual respect among communities. Empowering Media Professionals: Providing a safe environment and resources for journalists to carry out their mission of truth-telling in the face of challenges. The union is committed to being a voice for journalists and writers, a shield for media freedom and human rights, and a platform for promoting peace, coexistence, and tolerance across the globe.
