After the Declaration of Famine… The International Congress Shield Organization Calls on Arab States to Take Urgent Action to Stop the Crimes of Occupation in Gaza

press

As the voices of hunger and suffering rise from the heart of besieged Gaza, and following the official declaration of famine, the International Congress Shield Organization renews its appeal to the international community, and in particular to the Arab states, to take urgent steps to put an end to the crimes of the Israeli occupation, which is committing genocide against an unarmed population living under bombardment and deprivation since the beginning of the aggression on Gaza.

We have repeatedly warned and called for an end to the bloodshed and the famine deliberately used by the occupation as a weapon of collective punishment against children, women, and the elderly. Yet the world continues to limit itself to statements of condemnation and denunciation, as if it were a repetitive play with no tangible impact on the ground.

This troubling silence from international institutions and the absence of a firm stance that compels the United States and its allies has given a green light to the perpetrators of crimes, led by Benjamin Netanyahu and his extremist government, to continue their massacres against innocent civilians.

At the International Congress Shield Organization, we affirm that the historical and moral responsibility of the Arab and Islamic states requires urgent and decisive action — politically, economically, and diplomatically — to pressure the centers of global decision-making, foremost among them the United States of America, as the only actor capable of compelling the Israeli government to stop its aggression and end the suffering of civilians.

Continued silence will only exacerbate the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, where siege and starvation are being used as weapons of collective extermination against innocents. Ending this war is not an option but an ethical and legal necessity to protect lives and uphold human dignity.

History will immortalize the stances of those who confronted injustice and fulfilled their humanitarian duty, just as it will harshly record the complacency of those who had the power to act but chose to remain silent. We are at a decisive moment: either we play an active role in saving Gaza, or we are remembered as silent witnesses to a crime of genocide.
