Cultural and National Honor: Boris Hrinchenko Award 2025

The Ukrainian General Association “Prosvita” named after Taras Shevchenko has awarded the Boris Hrinchenko Award for 2025 to the writer and cultural activist Yuriy Anatoliyovych Rabotin, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to building an independent Ukraine and promoting national identity.

It is noteworthy that Yuriy Anatoliyovych Rabotin serves as the Head of the Journalists’ Guild in Odessa and is one of the founders of the International Union of Journalists and Writers, reflecting his significant role in supporting independent journalism and cultural activities both nationally and internationally.

This honor acknowledges his active role in strengthening the status of the Ukrainian language as a state language, developing national culture, reviving historical memory, and contributing to the shaping of national consciousness through his continuous enlightening efforts.

The Boris Hrinchenko Award is one of the prestigious cultural awards granted by “Prosvita” to recognize individuals who continue the mission of enlightenment and defend national values, inspired by the ideas of the great Ukrainian writer and thinker Boris Hrinchenko.

This recognition comes in the context of Prosvita’s ongoing efforts to support culture, language, and historical memory, considered essential pillars for the resilience and unity of Ukrainian society.
