Saleh Daher – The Grand Theater: The Philosophy of Domination and Declared Hostility
Since the dawn of history, human conflicts have never been mere ideological confrontations or civilizational clashes, as they are often portrayed. At their core, they have always been reflections of hidden struggles for interests orchestrated behind the scenes.
In today’s world, the United States and Russia stand as the clearest example of this theatrical duality, where global politics is staged as a battle between good and evil. Yet, if we strip away the masks, we uncover a meticulously directed performance hiding a common goal: domination over resources, control of nations’ destinies, the partition of homelands over the corpses of innocents, subjugation and exploitation of peoples, and the reshaping of human values to serve the ruling elite’s interests.
It is a grand theater directed by known actors and hidden puppets, where roles shift between “savior” and “criminal,” while the ending remains the same: strengthening empires at the expense of the common human being.
In this recurring scene, there is no real distinction between killer and victim in the calculations of the great powers. All become tools in the service of one higher aim: securing the throne upon the ruins of truth, and prolonging the theatrical act until the curtain falls on the last cry for freedom.
This pattern of conflict is not a product of the modern age, but rather an extension of a long history of systematic domination. From Hitler raising the slogans of “racial purity” to justify expansion and war, to Stalin wielding the banner of “social equality” to erect a rigid centralized regime, the goal remained the same: manipulating the fate of nations and subduing them under absolute authority. Both relied on fear and propaganda to expand their grip in the name of hollow values.
Today, the scene resurfaces with a different décor. The struggle between major powers is not random, but a form of covert cooperation among global elites to secure hidden interests. America presents itself on stage as the guardian of democracy and human rights, while Russia plays the role of defender of traditional values and resistance to Western dominance. Yet behind the curtain, the actors shake hands on the same bargain: sharing spheres of influence and control.
Global events reveal carefully distributed roles. Just as the great powers divided the world’s resources in the 20th century through wars and treaties, the same game continues today with new tools: technology, media, economics, and manufactured chaos.
It is the grand theater where the script never changes—only the actors’ faces do. From Hitler and Stalin yesterday, to Trump and Putin today, all are different characters playing different roles, but the goal remains constant: consolidating hegemony while leaving peoples as a passive audience, stripped of will, clapping or weeping under the stage lights.
Within this context, narratives of hostility are continuously reproduced to justify military, political, and economic interventions. These narratives are wielded with exceptional skill to guide peoples and distract them from the true objectives of conflict. Just as propaganda speeches under Hitler and Stalin were tools to control the masses and persuade them of the necessity of war and sacrifice, today’s media plays the same role—but with more sophisticated and deceptive techniques.
In this world order, the human being is no longer an end in itself, but a tool exploited for higher interests. As Hitler and Stalin reduced man to a number in equations of domination, the same logic continues today—through wars that claim millions of lives without account, and economic systems that impose poverty and deprivation upon vast sectors of humanity.
History does not repeat itself by chance; it is carefully managed to serve particular powers. Great powers, past and present, ensure the world remains in perpetual division because division is the necessary condition for sustaining domination. Hitler and Stalin exploited this division openly, and today global events are orchestrated with the same tools and mechanisms to keep people trapped in a closed circle.
What is presented to humanity as inevitable conflicts is nothing but a grand theater—its script written with precision, its roles distributed meticulously, and its outcomes predetermined. Humanity faces a choice: either to surrender and remain captive to this bloody recurring performance, or to rewrite its role by strengthening collective awareness and understanding the true nature of the global system that governs its fate.
The battle for awareness and the liberation of humanity is not a secondary option; it is the destiny of peoples who aspire to live with dignity. It begins with a deeper understanding of the grand game being woven in secrecy, and continues with humanity’s ability to break the chains, confront challenges with conscious will, and open the doors of hope toward a just, free, and dignified future worthy of mankind.
